Cetaphil is for people that have sensative skin. Also, pay attention to the ingredients in the soap. When you are buying soap you should keep in mind that liquid soaps have more water so they are usually not as strong as soap bars. Anti-bacterial soap will not decrease your child’s natural immunity to germs and viruses.
I saw a test on the news the other day between Alcohol based hand sanitizers, anti-bacterial soap, regular soap, and plain water, and they ranked in the same order that I just listed them for killing bacteria. They also said that technique is important when using soap in order to kill bacteria. You must work the lather for 20 seconds, including between your fingers and up your wrist for it to be effective. So I guess if you are sensitive to sanitizers, and Cetaphil is anti – bac (I’m not familiar with it), that’s your best bet providing your technique is proper.
Sorry, I don’t know about the immunities, but I’d guess that there are still lots of opportunities to get germs and build immunities to them no matter how clean you are. That’s unavoidable.
Anti-bacterial soap will cure the swine flu, but cause the AIDS. Your call.
